Does the boat have a restroom?
On our private tiki boat, yes: it has a bathroom aboard, along with a thatched roof for shade and room for up to 26 guests. For a shelling tour, a dolphin tour, a sunset cruise or a private charter on our other boats, plan on the restroom at the marina. Each marina we depart from has one, so the easy move is to arrive a few minutes early and go right before you board.
This is one of the most common questions we hear before people book, right up there with what to wear and whether they will get seasick, and we would rather you know the real answer up front than be surprised on the water. If a bathroom aboard is a must for anyone in your group, call or text (239) 301-8913 before you book and we will help you pick the right trip.
Where to go, trip by trip
| Trip | Where to go |
|---|---|
| Private tiki boat | The bathroom aboard, plus the marina restroom before you board |
| Shelling tours | The marina restroom, right before you board |
| Dolphin tours and sunset cruises | The marina restroom, right before you board |
| Private charters on our other boats | The marina restroom, right before you board |
| Time on Keewaydin Island | No restrooms on the island, so go before you leave the dock |
The island stop
Many of our trips land on a boat-only beach, and those islands are wild in the true sense: no restrooms, no fresh water and no concessions. On a 3-hour Keewaydin tour you get about 1 hour 45 minutes on the island, so treat the marina as your last stop and the island as the reward. Our guide to facilities on Keewaydin Island covers what to bring for the beach.
How to plan your stop
The fix is simple: use the restroom at the marina right before you board. Have kids go too, no matter how confident they seem; it is the easiest thing you can do to keep the trip stress-free. Stay hydrated, since the Florida sun is no joke, and just time that last stop for the dock. If a bathroom aboard matters, book the private tiki boat. First time out with us?
