Captain Paul O'Neill

Captain Paul O'Neill has spent a lifetime chasing the next adventure: leading his high-school football team to two state championships, running marathons and bike races, and pulling lifeguard shifts on the Jersey Shore, where he contributed to 200 rescues.

Before Naples came 31 years teaching middle-school physical education — alongside a decade owning “The Ice Hut,” his Italian-ice shop at the Jersey Shore, and a stint crewing “Pirates on the Manasquan.” His motto says the rest: “Once you've had a great adventure, you're always ready for more.” These days the adventure is Naples Bay — and you're invited.

Captains and crew rotate across the fleet and both home ports with the season and the tides, so we can't promise who'll be at your wheel on a given day — but every Sand Dollar trip runs with a local captain, USCG licensed & insured, and a crew that treats your day on the water like their own.
