Your Stay, On the Water
A quiet-luxury stay deserves a quiet-luxury boat day
Marco Beach Ocean Suites sits on Crescent Beach at the soft, residential south end of Marco Island — an all-suite, condo-style property built for the kind of traveler who’d rather unpack once and stay a week than sprint through a checklist. (If you remember the address as the Marco Beach Ocean Resort, that’s the same beachfront spot under its current name.) That unhurried, quiet-luxury pace is exactly the guest our captains love to take out. We’re not a packed party boat, and there’s no shouting over a loudspeaker — it’s your captain, the open Gulf, and a route shaped around what you actually feel like doing. Sleep in, have your coffee, and pick a departure that fits the trip you came here to have.
From Crescent Beach it’s a short hop across the island to our home dock at San Marco Marina in Goodland, the old stone-crab village tucked on Marco’s southeast tip. Goodland is the fast way into the Ten Thousand Islands — a green maze of wild, mostly boat-only barrier islands that runs south through Gullivan Bay toward Cape Romano and the edge of Everglades National Park. Out here you get Keewaydin, Kice, and shoals where the only footprints are the ones the last tide didn’t erase: no lifeguard towers, no condos, just ospreys working the flats, dolphins rolling in the wake, and shell lines the water rearranges every single day. It’s the Marco Island most visitors only glimpse from the beach, and it starts about fifteen minutes from your suite.
For a stay like yours, we usually steer people toward the calmer, more private end of our lineup. A private charter puts the whole boat in your hands — you set the mood, and the captain sets the course. A golden-hour sunset cruise is the easiest romantic evening on the island, and a special-occasion trip quietly frames an anniversary, a proposal, or a milestone birthday without any fuss. Want to fill a morning instead? A shelling run or a dolphin-and-wildlife cruise gets the whole family out and back with plenty of beach time left for the afternoon. Whatever you pick, you book directly through us, our USCG Master Captains run the boat, and you’re back on Crescent Beach with the evening still ahead of you.
