What accessible really means on our boats
Let’s start with the honest part: none of our boats have a wheelchair lift, and we don’t want to promise something we can’t deliver on the dock. What we do have is calm, protected water and low, fixed piers in Goodland and Naples that put you close to the boat without a long ladder climb. A lot of guests with limited mobility — a cane, a walker, a recent knee replacement — ride comfortably with a hand from the mate. Tell us your situation before you book and we’ll tell you plainly whether it’s a good fit.
Our two docks — San Marco Marina in Goodland and Naples Bay Resort & Marina downtown — both sit low and fixed rather than floating, so the step aboard is short and doesn’t shift underfoot the way a floating dock can. There’s still a step down onto the deck, and the exact gap depends on the boat and the tide that day, so it isn’t the same as a curb-cut ramp. Your captain and mate will meet you at the dock, carry what needs carrying, and go slow. If you use a wheelchair, walker or scooter, call ahead so we can talk through the specifics before your trip day.
A private charter is usually the easiest way to make the day work. You set the pace, the captain shortens the walk from car to boat, and we can steer you toward the calmest trip — a Naples Bay or Port Royal sightseeing cruise, a dolphin cruise, or a sunset run — rather than a shelling or island-beach trip that ends in soft sand and knee-deep wading. Those remote-beach trips are wonderful, but they’re genuinely tougher going for anyone with limited mobility, and we’d rather steer you to a trip you’ll enjoy than oversell one you won’t.

Are your boats wheelchair accessible?
Honestly, not in the ramp-and-lift sense — none of our boats carry a wheelchair lift. What we do offer is low, fixed-dock boarding and calm, protected water, and many guests with limited mobility ride comfortably with a hand from the mate. Call us before you book, describe your equipment and mobility level, and we’ll tell you plainly whether a trip fits.
Is there a ramp or lift to board the boat?
No. Boarding is a step down from a low, fixed pier onto the deck, not a ramp. The exact height depends on the boat and the tide, and your captain or mate is right there to help. It works well for many guests with canes, walkers or mild mobility limits, but it isn’t step-free.
Can I bring a wheelchair, walker or scooter aboard?
Often, yes, for a folding wheelchair or walker — deck space is limited, so tell us the exact make and size when you book. Larger power scooters usually don’t fit safely on our vessels; call ahead and we’ll let you know honestly.
